Volunteers are a vital part of any sports club. Brothers Juniors Ipswich is no different.
We have the benefit of using the facilities of Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich and the fields of Brothers Football Club Ipswich (seniors), but all of our activities are coordinated entirely be volunteers.
We are a large club and providing a positive junior rugby league experience for over 600 children is no small feat. The number of volunteers we have directly impacts the quality of experience that we can offer.
If you would like to join our passionate band of volunteers, we are always looking for assistance is roles like:
Rugby league player and volunteer registration is now completed online via the NRL’s new MySideline system. Whether you are re-registering from previous seasons, registering for the first time or you want to request a transfer, you will need to use MySideline.
The NRL have put together this quick 'How to Register' video to help guide everyone through registering with a club via the new system.
As with most volunteering roles, the first step is putting up your hand and say I would like to contribute.
For roles with a team (e.g. Team Manager), the coaches will usually be looking for volunteers during the first few weeks of training.
For most other roles with the club, the first step is to approach our Management Committee. This can be done in a variety of ways:
All club volunteers over the age of 18 must hold a current Working with Children Blue Card issued by the Queensland Government.
If you already have a current Blue Card, simply present this at the canteen on training night and we can link your card to Brothers Juniors Ipswich.
If you need to renew your Blue Card or apply for one for the first time, click the button below to apply/renew online. Once you have registered/applied online, please send an email to email@example.com so that we can approve for your Blue Card to be linked to our Club.
All Club volunteers must complete the NRL's Coach, Trainer & Volunteer Registration Form.
This form ensures that you are properly registered with the NRL and approved to volunteer with a junior club. It also provides the NRL with your contact information so that they can send you information and opportunities relevant to your role as a volunteer.
