Little Leprechauns is our program for introducing 3 to 5 year olds to rugby league through skill-based, non-contact activities and training drills. The program runs over 5 x weekly one hour sessions.
Little Leprechauns is based on the philosophy of learning through play. As well as assisting with developing hand-eye coordination and motor skills, the program promotes physical activity in a fun and interactive environment. Children of all skills and abilities are welcome.
When are the sessions?
Little Leprechauns runs over 5 sessions on Monday evenings in July and August each year. Each session will run from 5pm to 6pm.
In 2025, our Little Leprechaun sessions will be held on:
- Monday 11 August
- Monday 18 August
- Monday 25 August
- Monday 1 September
- Monday 8 September
How much does it cost?
The participation cost for our 2025 Little Leprechaun program is $60.
What is included for participants?
As part of the program, each Little Leprechaun will receive a t-shirt and pack.
Who can participate?
Any child aged 3 years to 5 years for the duration of the program can participate in Little Leprechauns. No previous rugby league experience in necessary.
Is this the same as Munchkin League?
While not officially part of the NRL's Munchkin League program, the Little Leprechauns program run by Brothers Juniors Ipswich is very similar. Both programs introduce 3 to 5 year olds to rugby league through skill-based, non-contact activities and training drills.
